Harriet McInnis – Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees

When Harriet first arrived in Sedona in 1991, her love of the arts led her to become an associate member of the Sedona Gallery Association, as well as a member of the Red Rock Arts Council (and president from 1994 to 2012).  She chaired the Sedona Sculpture Walk for five years and helped raise funds for the Sedona Schnebly monument gifted to the City.  Harriet also served as a board member and then President of the Verde Valley Sanctuary; President of the Northern Arizona Opera League, and as a member of the Arts in Public Places Committee.  She is currently Vice Chair of the Fine Art Museum of Sedona Board of Trustees.

Harriet worked for Sedona Copy & Design as a graphic designer for almost eight years. Prior to that, she established Just Your Type, creating and designing marketing materials for local events and organizations, including the Sedona Arts Center, Tlaquepaque, Friends of the Forest, Canyon Moon Theatre, Sedona Fine Arts Festival, Make-a-Wish, and the Sedona-Oak Creek Canyon Chamber of Commerce.  In 1994, she founded Sedona Art Tours, which she operated for almost three years, taking visitors to galleries and artists’ studios to have a more personalized art experience in Sedona.Harriet began painting in 2009. She has studied with Gretchen Lopez at the Sedona Arts Center. Other instructors include Vince Fazio, Michael Chesley Johnson, Christine Debrosky, Kevin Macpherson and Julie Gilbert Pollard. Her passion is landscape, however she is expanding her expertise to portraiture.

Harriet’s career spanned communications and marketing at the executive levels, with extensive background in conference management, customer relations, sales promotion and human resources.
